Booking, Payments and Practical Information

When you decide you’d like me to photograph your wedding, there are a few simple steps that secure your date and set everything in motion.

Securing Your Date

To book your wedding, I ask for a non-refundable booking fee of £200 at the time you sign the contract. This fee confirms your date in my diary and reflects the planning and preparation that happens well before the wedding day itself.

You can pay the booking fee in a number of ways, including:

  • BACS transfer

  • Debit or credit card via the Make a Payment page

  • Cash or cheque if that suits you better.

Once I’ve received the booking fee and the signed contract, your date is secured.

Discounts for Early Settlement

If you choose to pay the full amount of your package at the time of booking, you’ll benefit from a 5% settlement discount.

That can be a practical way to reduce the overall cost and simplify the payment process right from the start.

Paying the Balance

The remaining balance for your chosen photography coverage is due no later than 30 days before your wedding date.

If the balance isn’t received by that time, I reserve the right not to provide services on the day, or to treat the booking as cancelled - something none of us want to happen.  If you'd like to settle your balance in installments between booking and the 30 day deadline that's no problem, just let me know when you make any payment and I'll make a note on your account.

How Payments Are Taken

You can make payments by:

  • Bank transfer

  • Debit or credit card via the website’s payment page

  • Cash or cheque if preferred

Bank details, reference information and step-by-step instructions are included in your booking email, and I’m always happy to talk you through it if you’d like a hand.

What Happens After You Book

Around four to six weeks before your wedding, I’ll get in touch to check details with you, talk through timings and anything you want photographed, and make sure we’re both confident about how the day will unfold. This planning stage makes the photography feel familiar and helps keep things relaxed on the day itself.

If Plans Change

Postponement
If your wedding date changes, I’ll do my best to accommodate you. Any payments you’ve made can be transferred to the new date, subject to availability.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel the booking, the cancellation terms are set out in the contract and are based on how far in advance notice is given.

I know wedding planning can be unpredictable, so I aim to handle these situations fairly and with as little stress for you as possible.

Meals on the Day

For coverage that exceeds six hours, I ask that a hot meal and non-alcoholic refreshments are provided. This simply ensures I can stay present and focused throughout your wedding day

A Simple Summary

  • £200 booking fee secures your date and is deducted from the total cost

  • Balance is due 30 days before the wedding

  • Full payment at booking gets a 5 per cent discount

  • Payments are taken by bank transfer or card

  • Meal provision is requested for long days
